Mission of Mercy held week of June 22, 2012, was a resounding success!The Southern MD Mission of Mercy (SMMOM) will host a concert to help raise funds for their next mission/free dental clinic, to be held in June 2014.
The concert will feature Allen Edwards, who entertains frequently in Branson Missouri and has received the honor of "Entertainer of the Year" in Branson. You can visit his official Web site for more information about this talented performer.
The concert will be held on December 8, 2012, at Leonardtown High School. Tickets, which will be sold for $30 before the show, and $35 at the door, may be purchased by the following methods:

Also, congratulations go out to Dr. Morgan, who through his hard work and dedication to projects, such as SMMOM, has been selected to receive the 2012 Maryland Rural Health Association (MRHA) Award for Outstanding Rural Health Practitioner!
The next Mission of Mercy is scheduled for 2014, and is now in the planning process!
More than 100 million people in the United States are without dental insurance. In Southern Maryland, 51,500 without, resulting in a silent epidemic of dental and oral disease
Mission of Mercy is a free adult dental clinic provided by volunteer dental professionals and volunteer staff of several hundred people.
Dental services for adult patients include:• Preventive dentistry and cleaning
• Nutritional counseling
• Restorative fillings
• Extractions
All dental services are provided by licensed dentists and hygienists, mostly from Maryland
Mission of Mercy launched by Virginia Dental Health Foundation in 2000. Over 50 MOM projects are hosted in Virginia, and now are spreading elsewhere.
• Western Maryland hosted MOM projects in 2010 and Fall 2011
• Local MOM for Maryland's Charles, St. Mary’s, and Calvert Counties was held in June 2012
• Next Southern Maryland MOM being planned for 2014
