Our next SMMOM will be held in the summer of 2018.   We will be announcing the dates and details of our 2018 MOM in the summer of 2017

What Services are Provided?

 Southern Maryland Mission of Mercy (SMMOM) performs dental services for adult patients (ages 19 and above) that includes: preventive dentistry and cleaning, nutritional counseling, restorative fillings, and extractions.  All dental services are provided by licensed dentists and hygienists, mostly from Maryland.

Where will this event be held?

North Point High School, Waldorf, MD.

 In 2016 we held our Mission of Mercy (MOM) at North Point High School.   We look forward to organizing our 2018 Mission of Mercy in the coming year.  Select the "Directions" link below

When can patients be seen

Doors will open at 6:00am on both clinic days (Summer of 2018 on a Friday and Saturday -  to be determined) for patients to register and be screened and treated.

About the Mission of Mercy

More than 100 million people in the United States are without dental insurance. In the Southern Maryland area there are thousands of adults that don’t receive adequate or even basic needed dental care, resulting in a silent epidemic of dental and oral disease.  Southern Maryland Mission of Mercy is focused on addressing those needs in a professional and caring manner.

The following video is an example of how a MOM operates.  (Note:  this is a MOM in 2010 held in Oregon.   At this time the 2018 SMMOM does not plan to offer any services for dentures)
